Corte Madera

Corte Madera has more to offer than just its spectacular views.

With fewer than 10,000 residents, Corte Madera is a small community with plenty of big things to offer. Located at the foothills of Mount Tamalpais, residents enjoy beautiful views of the pastoral hillsides and the bay from just about everywhere in town. The west side of Corte Madera – which translates to “chop wood” in Spanish – is also surrounded by redwoods, which further adds to its stunning location.

Corte Madera has more to offer than just its spectacular views. Locals enjoy an excellent school system and plenty of amenities. Two upscale shopping centers – The Village and Town Center – are found here, the latter of which is used as the community’s farmers market each Wednesday afternoon. For even more shopping, residents can easily hop on Highway 101 for a quick commute into San Francisco, and the Larkspur Ferry Terminal is nearby.

Corte Madera is a nature lover’s paradise. It is the ideal community for hikers and bikers, and Corte Madera Town Park is known for its walking paths, soccer fields, and skate park. The local community also hosts plenty of annual celebrations, including the Fourth of July Festival and Parade and a summer outdoor concert series.

Centrally located in Marin County just outside of San Francisco’s foggy reach, Corte Madera is a popular place to live. There are many different neighborhoods here with unique architectural styles, and compared to nearby communities, listings are moderately priced. Whether you’re in search of a condo or a single-family home in the hillside neighborhoods of Christmas Tree Hill or Chapman Park, there is something for everyone in this charming community.
